Beautiful restaurant and generous spirit, thank you to Jonny and Sol for welcoming us so warmly. My son loved his very grown up Cod dish, and thoroughly enjoyed my Ragu Tagliatelle. Can't wait to visit Jazz evenings given the classy yet relaxed ambience.

Great service. Fresh pasta expertly cooked. We had stuffed pastas and fusilli. The squash pasta was especially nice.

I went on the Ladies night, which was £20 for 3 courses. I started with calamari, which was very tender and lightly fried with a delicious dip. I went on to sorrentino, and we all agreed that this was one of the best dishes we had ever tasted. It was full of flavour, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. I finished with salted caramel cheesecake - I wasn't sure if this was cooked on site but I couldn't have told you if it wasn't. It tasted fantastic.
The staff were attentive without being overbearing. Get some ladies together and go. Well worth the money, we want to do this again. There was a charge for coffee and a service charge but I was happy to pay

I surprised my boyfriend with a pasta making class and dinner last night’
SO much fun, and what fantastic, friendly staff!
Fortunately, we didn’t have to eat the pasta we made ( but we DID take it home!)
The food is outstanding, simply to best pasta we had both ever tasted
The wines were excellent, and the whole staff were so attentive!
Can’t wait to try more from the menu…
Even planning to pick some frozen pasta to try at home

We had a lovely meal here during the first week of opening. The three course set menu for ~£16 was great value and very tasty. We had the bruschetta, risotto, pasta with spicy arrabbiata sauce, and ice cream all very well portioned and flavoured for a set menu (sometimes these things can be iffy, but not here!).
The Italian guy that served us (sorry to forget the name) was incredibly friendly and welcoming, as was the younger woman who served us too. When chatting, it came up that we had just moved into the area and they were even kind enough to bring out a complementary glass of Prosecco each to welcome us to Newbury.
One of our party has a nut allergy which was catered for fantastically even bringing out a separate menu with detailed info.
We were seated at the back of the restaurant where they opened up the big doors that look out onto the canal which made for a lovely setting while having our meal.
Overall, very happy with our first visit and one that has persuaded us to visit again.

Popped in for a quick lunch with my fiancé and daughter and could not have left more satisfied. A delicious platter of ciabatta and chimichurri got us started: the bread was fresh, and the chimichurri was a perfectly balanced and flavoursome accompaniment.
However, it was our mains that completely stole the show. My fiance had a seafood pasta - Atlantic salmon and prawns in black sorrentino pasta, covered in a delicious creamy tomato and vodka sauce. My daughter and I both had rigatoni with beef Ragu and it was absolutely brilliant; the pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked, the Ragu was bursting with flavour and clearly freshly prepared. I could not possibly fault either dish.
As an aside, the restaurant is also really nicely decorated and the service is top notch. We will definitely be visiting again.

Had a lovely meal here with the family. Very reasonable kids menu and some very exciting and different gourmet choices for raviolis. Lovely food and a clean airy feel. You can also order the pasta to take home which is cool.

Had a great lunch here on my weekend away with my partner. It was the soft launch so we didn't pay full price which drew us in, but we'd certainly go again. It's a new independent business worth supporting. The food was yummy and the service care genuine.

I came to Gourmet Pasta last week for dinner with my partner, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and the food was fabulous. The chef came out to show us the pasta options which was a really nice touch. The tiramisu was the best we have ever tasted and we will definitely be back!
Thank you to the team!
