The best Thai I've had! Seriously yummy food and at a very good price. I ate here with my fiance on the 2nd Dec and I cannot fault it. Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and 5 star food. Definitely a must if you're in the area

The moment we stepped into Khonkaen Thai restaurant, we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff, who immediately made us feel at ease. The restaurant's warm and inviting ambiance set the perfect stage for a delightful dining experience.The food was absolutely delicious, showcasing fresh ingredients and impeccable culinary skills. From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, each dish was a symphony of flavors that tantalized our taste buds.We will definitely be going back again soon.

The foods were amazing, and the price was very affordable. I highly recommend this place. I feel like it’s so underrated because when I was there, it was so quiet. Definitely deserves more recognition.

Excellent quality food, not tasted Thai curry that good since Thailand in '92😲 Massaman curry is excellent. These guys know what they're doing. They were really busy the race night we went so service was slowish but my goodness the food was well worth the wait. Very good value for money and very polite service. We will be back.

This was a really really good authentic Thai dinner, would recommend and will be going back. They also do draught beer - which is important.

Very good food, but a little spicy for one of our party. Personally, I thought spice level was expected for good Thai food. Service was good, particularly in recommending the right number of dishes for us. Great wine too, at reasonable (restaurant) prices. Could have done without the deliveroo drivers coming in and out - a bit distracting to an otherwise very nice evening.

Pretty decent Thai food, can’t go too wrong with this place. As an Aussie I understand what proper or authentic Thai food is like. The food here is nice, I had a red curry and although it’s wasn’t really “traditional”, it was pretty yummy. My friend ordered a massaman curry which was also good. The staff are nice, the interior is very cosy and pretty clean. Probably the best Thai restaurant in Newbury and the general locale (west Berkshire), I would revisit.

Very nice Thai restaurant. We had tom yum soup, fish cakes, sweetcorn cakes, two curry dishes and coconut rice - all excellent. - friendly service. The restaurant is named after a region in North Eastern Thailand, where the owners of the restaurant are from. The restaurant and also offers a take away service.

On the​ plus side, the menu is extensive, the staff are friendly and there is a nice atmosphere here. I would have given 4 stars but although friendly the service was slow and the food was tasty but not hot when it arrived. The staff had no idea what they were serving us so we had to guess whose dish was who's.
