I actually can't believe these are my teeth!!! So after about 4 separate consulations at 4 different clinics, I finally found Charl. I knew pretty much straight away that this was going be the man to sort out my super overcrowded teeth. He was the only orthodontist to actually listen to what I wanted. To give you a bit of back story, I had braces as a teen but sadly didn't understand the importance of wearing my retainer not just after having my fixed braces removed but forever. Fast forward to my mid-thirties and my teeth are all over the place, especially my bottom row. The overcrowding was so bad that previous orthodontists had mentioned the likelihood of having to have a tooth removed to create enough space to straighten them up. Obviously that wasn't something I wanted, but I was considering it. Shortly after that covid struck and we were in lockdown, so no orthodontists were open and when they did re-open there was such a huge backlog of patients to attend to that the wait was going to be a few months. That's when a company (I won't mention the name) promising a perfect smile in a min of 4 months popped up with no clinic visits and my impatience and lack of funds drew me in. Needless to say this didn't work out for me because I was terrible at remembering to wear the removable aligners, so out of the 22 hours wear that you are supposed to do, I was maybe managing 14! Back to the drawing board I went, thinking that I was going to be stuck with these teeth that protruded out of mouth every time I spoke, I started to research local clinics that were offering fixed clear braces. I went to a couple of different clinics near by where I live, but they were really trying to push the clear aligners on to me and I knew myself by then and I knew I couldn't be trusted to wear them 24 hours a day and it wasn't what I was asking for. I almost gave up my search until I found the Newbury Smile Studio offering '6 months smiles'. They were about 30 mins away from me but I was determined to see what they had to offer. When I met Charl and his team for the first time, they were so friendly and inviting, I just felt at ease straight away. Charl listened to me as I told him everything I'd been through and what I hoped to achieve and he didn't try to sell anything but what I had asked for. He talked me through the plan, how long it would take, how much it would cost and before I had even left the chair I knew that I wanted to go ahead with the treatment. The first week of having the fixed braces was uncomfortable but tolerable. I had to eat soft foods and learn how to speak again but after that it was a breeze and the time seem to fly by! Now I have the most perfect set of teeth and and I couldn't be happier and if I had to do it all again to get the same result, I'd do it again in a heartbeat! However, I do intend to wear my retainer and take the after care alot more serioulsy this time! Thank you, Charl and Team!

As I got older my teeth changed, became crooked and the old composite was worn. I had a gap developing between front teeth that looked like pepper constantly in my teeth. I got 6 month smile braces and new composite. I also got whitener for my teeth. The change is amazing. I get so many complements on my teeth and smile now. Well worth the investment in my smile. Straighter teeth will be much healthier. Highly recommend Dr Charl.

The best dentist experience I have ever had! Not only did my dental work not hurt at all, but it was relaxing and a nice experience. Charl is incredibly warming and keeps your nerves at ease! He really is amazing! I’m so glad I found him!!!

I highly recommend the Smile Studio for any dental treatment that you may need. I had real problems with crooked and broken teeth and had more or less given up on a solution that didn’t involve years of dental work. Charl put together a program of filling replacements; teeth straightening, whitening and tooth repair that has completely transformed my smile (way better than my own expectations). A talented and very professional team and a great practice and again; highly recommended.

I can't praise Smile Studio enough. A badly chipped tooth stopped me from smiling and an appointment with my usual dentist was weeks away. So I looked on the web, found Smile Studio, secured an appointment within the hour. spent half an hour in the pleasant and professional hands of Dr Buckley and walked out smiling broadly with a perfectly repaired tooth. Their attitude is 'can do' and they certainly got things done for me.

I've been terrified of the dentist for ages and can't recommend this team enough. They've all been amazing and the service has been excellent! If you're a nervous patient, I really recommend Newbury Smile Studio. They take great care to relax you and explain what is needed. The studio is also well decorated and inviting.
