Today was brilliant. Josie answered all my questions and went above and beyond. She set me up on Xero, revised my VAT invoices and automated repeat invoices to save me time. I’m sure I’ll sleep well tonight, knowing Josie has resolved those issues. I’m grateful for the time Josie spent helping me today.

Phoned up because we need a new accountant, spoke to Chris Davies. He asked how much we were paying our current accountants, I told him and he basically said no! You should be selling your services to me Chris, either you are charging too much or you’re not confident that your prices are justified by the work that you offer. Tell me about all the ways in which you can help me save time and money, convince me you’re worth paying more for! Our current accountants are not very good so I would expect them to be cheap, they are not chartered accountants either which is a big difference. I expected to pay considerably more. What if the other three accountants are a similar price to you? I will do business with them and you just lose out. Very strange way to conduct yourself I thought. My business turnover last year was 860k in case you thought I was a time waster.

To start I was well looked after, then to realise you are just a number yourself to this company. Calling them for advice, you are then made to feel like you have been a burden and everything comes at a cost!! And I mean everything. At the start, all was well , however the customer care was lost and all it becomes about is how much money they can take and charge you. Even when you call them on phone for minor details they let you know it will be invoiced as an hourly charge depending on who you are speaking to and what their rates are. Plenty of other accountants out there is my advice. Do your research before committing
