I am quite a regular customer to Cobrizo. Normally a very good atmosphere, staff are friendly, and the menu choices are great. Unfortunately this time something was a a little off with the food. Half a container of chips and the smallest dollop of Coleslaw. It definitely wouldn't have broken the bank for a decent portion size of both.

A cozy spot with friendly staff. The tomato soup was rich and comforting, and the grilled cheese sandwich was crispy and satisfying. Simple food done very well.

A really nice friendly place. Superb artwork adorns the walls and whilst it was quiet when I went there on a Monday night, I could imagine it would be great even when full. The staff gave everybody in there plenty of time and great friendly service. I can't really comment on the food as only had coffee, but those that were eating seemed very pleased. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely dinner at Cobrizo Lounge in Newbury. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with a great buzz around the place. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel really well looked after from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious — freshly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. There’s a great variety on the menu, with something to suit everyone, and the portion sizes were generous too. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re after a casual meal, drinks with friends, or a relaxed evening out. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

The atmosphere was nice, love that there are board games to play. They have a very thorough gluten free menu, which meant my partner had a good variety to choose from. The thing that let them down was the incredibly slow service and having to pay for extra sauce. On a saturday afternoon every business is busy, that is to be expected, but you also expect the business to know this and plan accordingly. To be told on entry that food would be up to 30mins was a shock, especially as the restaurant was not more than 1/3 full at best. The food took 46 minutes to arrive....for one plate of burger and chips and another of pancakes and syrup. My partner enjoyed the burger and chips and was offered a whole bottle of Mayonnaise to go with his food. My pancakes, bacon and syrup, not so great. When asked if we needed anything else, I asked for another portion of syrup (they give a small pot, about 1 tbsp to cover 3 pancakes). The young man said he would need to check. Upon return, he said no, I couldn't have anymore syrup, unless I wanted to pay £2.50 for it. £2.50 for a tablespoon of maple syrup? The cheek of it, especially when it had to wait nearly an hour for our food. Needless to say, this experience left a rather sour taste on my mouth.

Lovely atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, really friendly and welcoming with our (pretty irritating) dogs! Food was okay, lots of vegan options but very expensive for what it is and took a very long time to come out. But overall was good

We had an impromptu stop at Newbury and not knowing the place much we thought Cobrizo Lounge looked right up our street as we walked by. A brief look at the clear menu outside this confirmed it for us, so we went in. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, lovely variety of choice on the menu. The food was great, as were the drinks and we were all happy and full to continue our journey home. If it was local to us we would be back again to sample more of what the menu had to offer.

Like all the lounges, very friendly service, good atmosphere, plenty of space, cool on a hot day. Extensive and varied menu for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Food took a bit longer than usual to arrive. Recommended

We stumbled upon this place accidentally on our way home from Bristol. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside, but since it was a hot day we decided to sit inside as there was no shade outside. The staff were friendly and attentive, we got seated quite soon. The food was good, everyone enjoyed what they had. I had some tapas and a side of sweet potato fries. It was all very tasty. My only comment on the food is the bread ‘fingers’. The whipped feta was delicious, but the little bread fingers it came with were super dry. I know they were toasted, but it became really dry. We liked the atmosphere too, nice moody and cosy decor, various types of seating options, at normal tables or armchairs etc. My only issue was the noise level. Although, the place itself wasn’t too busy when we were there it was extremely noisy. The music was loud, staff was what I can imagine emptying the dishwasher or washing/tidying up making lots of noise behind the bar area, felt like we were sitting in the kitchen in a busy canteen. Well, this is just my experience, someone else might not mind it. Otherwise, good place, would recommend it.
