Time wasters - called in advance to check about donating, described the item and was asked to bring it in. When I got there I was told they wouldn’t accept it, didn’t even look at the condition, they said they didn’t accept that type of furniture. Very frustrating to be messed about like this.

Only bought some books this time but there's a huge range of everything at this place. Great for a browse around.

The van crew of Tony and Matt seem to perform at a much higher level than the organisation as a body.
They collected from me today and had a cheerful disposition and worked with due care and and smiles! This is perhaps a lesson for some of the other staff here who are round pegs in square holes and ought not to be public (i.e. public) facing.

Very good for people on a budget who need to kit out a new home. My brother and his family moved back from America and had to get rid of their furniture etc, but they were able to find lots of different things to replace what they needed. When the Basingstoke branch does not have something, the larger Newbury branch might have, and they have several deliveries every day so it is always worth a look.
The prices are cheap, but if you are on benefits they also do a discounted price for each item.
My brother was able to get a sofa, bed frames, coffee table, dining table, floating shelves, and some glassware, and they deliver the big items for a delivery fee so no worrying how you will fit it all in the car.

Just had Matty & Tony from The Furniture Project to do a big collection from my mother in law’s apartment. Excellent service , an extremely helpful & careful team. Thank you both very much. Would highly recommend.

Thanks Newbury Community Furniture Project team. We have downsized during the last year so have had several visits in our old house and our new one whilst we worked out what we needed. The main team and Tony and Matt who come to collect the items all offer a great service.

I attempted to get a refund for the first time after being a customer of this place for three years, and the process was frustratingly complicated—seemingly designed to keep your money and avoid accepting the return. First, they refused to issue a refund over the phone, requiring me to visit the store in person—a round trip of one hour for me. Then, upon processing the refund, they charged an admin fee, seemingly as an additional way to profit from the situation. In my view, these policies are deliberately structured to discourage customers from pursuing refunds, ensuring the money stays with them.

Purchased two brand new items and one used, all well priced. Staff at the shop are lovely and Tony and Matty that delivered them were great. They were very quick and careful and checked where I wanted the items placed. Brilliant service

Tony and Matt came to collect four items of furniture that we wished to donate to a good cause. They could not have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were very pleased with the prompt, polite and very efficient service they provided. We will certainly use this service again which helps everybody.
Best wishes.

Some great finds to be had here, they even take card!
Those on benefits can also purchase products at a discounted rate.
They have furniture of all kinds so would absolutely recommend a visit.
